We are situated in a rural area surrounded by wildlife such as red squirrels, deer, buzzards, herons etc. and very little traffic makes this a real nature lovers retreat. Cluden water runs nearby and is a tributary to the river Nith, one of the finest salmon rivers in the country!

 

 

Within a few miles is  Glenkiln and the famous Sir Henry Moore, Epstein and Rodin sculptures.

At the end of the private drive you can join the cycle by-way which loops around Glenkiln or round to Dumfries and other areas. We are centrally located for all the 7 Stanes off road cycling forests.

Dumfries and Galloway is steeped in Scottish History with fabulous castles such as Caerlaverock Castle - Britain's only triangular castle and Drumlanrig Castle - home to the Duke of Buccleuch and a renowned art collection.
